ABOUT
We are a church united around the good news of God's love and faithfulness—a love that offers hope to every individual and community throughout the ages. We are a community amazed by what God has done for us in the person and work of Jesus. Jesus brings us together. Jesus transforms us and calls us to follow Him. And Jesus sends us out into our communities to serve and love the people around us.
For the last two thousand years, this story is what Christians have called the Gospel—the good news. At the heart of the Gospel is the amazing story of God's commitment to love his people when we are unlovely, to remain faithful to us when we are unfaithful, to be for us even when we are not for Him. The Gospel is the breath-taking story of how God did not give us what we deserve but instead by sheer grace did the unthinkable.
The Bible is God’s Word, completely reliable and the final authority for doctrine and practice.
Our mission is to grow as a community of faith in which every member has a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ, is committed to living by His Word, and makes known by action and word the new life He offers to all.

CBC began in 1968 with a small group of Christians from Williamstown and has grown to include more than 200 people of all ages and backgrounds from the tri-state area. Our ministries are rooted in the Biblical truths of the Gospel. We worship in song and prayer to keep our focus directed on God. We study the Bible in preaching and teaching to know God more deeply and to apply God's Word to the struggles of everyday life. We gather in community in small groups and accountability groups to encourage and support one another as we grow, struggle, and wrestle in our faith. Our youth activities provide more intimate forums for further Bible study and discussion, as well as prayer and fellowship, to help our children and young adults grow in maturity and wisdom.
OUR BELIEFS
About God
There is One God, who eternally exists as three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
About the Bible
The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are God-breathed, without error in the original manuscripts. They are the supreme and final authority for testing what is true and right.

About Creation
God created the entire universe out of nothing for the purpose of displaying His glory.

About Man's Creation and Fall
God created man in His image as the culmination of His creation

Yet the first man and woman chose to believe Satan’s lie, thereby declaring their distrust of the goodness and wisdom of God. All humans naturally descended from them are enslaved to sin and accountable for failing to glorify Him as God; they thus are alienated from Him, and by nature deserve His condemnation.

About Man's Redemption
About Jesus -
God sent to this earth His eternal Son as Jesus the Messiah. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. In fulfillment of God’s eternal plan of redemption, Jesus voluntarily suffered, was crucified, died, and was buried; on the third day, He rose from the dead. By His suffering and death on the cross as a substitute, Jesus Christ took upon Himself the punishment deserved by all those who would trust in Him.
He ascended into heaven, where He is seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for His people, and reigning until He puts all His enemies under His feet.
About Salvation -
Salvation is by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, and not the result of any work that we do or ceremony the church performs. Personal faith in Jesus as the risen Savior is therefore the only way to restore our broken relationship with God. The Holy Spirit works in the hearts of those who will believe, convicting them of sin and making them spiritually alive, thereby enabling them to hear the gospel and understand Scripture. Therefore, each person can freely choose to repent and believe in Jesus as Savior and Lord.

About the Holy Spirit
After conversion, the Holy Spirit lives in believers, empowering them to fight the fight of faith and live lives worthy of their calling; the Spirit transforms them into the likeness of Christ, producing the fruit of love, joy, and peace in their lives, to the glory and praise of God.

About The Church
There is one universal Church, consisting of all from every time and place who are united to Christ through faith in one Body. The life of the Church universal is lived out in local assemblies, in which believers, baptized upon a credible profession of faith, covenant together to hear the Word proclaimed, to engage in corporate worship, to practice the two ordinances commanded by the Lord, to build up each other’s faith, to hold each other accountable to the obedience of faith, and to spread the good news of the gospel throughout the world.

About the End of the Age
Jesus Christ will return to this earth personally, visibly, physically, and suddenly in power and glory. He will usher in His kingdom, judging the living and the dead. He will assign those who suppressed the truth to everlasting, conscious misery. But the righteous will dwell in the redeemed creation in resurrected and glorified bodies, free of sorrow and pain, and in all joy and happiness in the presence of God.

OUR TEAM
Our church is led by a plurality of elders, including our pastor, Tyler Hallenbeck. The elders and pastors together share leadership and ministry responsibilities, including preaching and teaching. In addition, many of the ministries in our church are run by members who serve the church by meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our people.
