Girlfriends in God (GiG): We hope to restart this program during the 2013 year with some changes such as the meeting location as well as the days and times of meeting. We strongly believe this group was helpful with building closer relationships with one another leading to support, encouragement, and love. GiG is a group for women 18 years of age and lder developed to build relationships that crosses generational and racial boundries to bring the Body of Christ together as believers beyond the hurried Sunday morning. Just as God sent Ruth to Naomi and Mary to Elizabeth, God continues to use women to encourage and equip other women in their spiritual journey. GiG focuses on connecting sisters in Christ through monthly gatherings in a fun and relaxing atmosphere!
A goal for this coming year, 2013, is to have lasting connections made among the women of CBC. God created us to be supporting and encouraging to others; let’s see that happen this year in a mighty way!
Some much needed feedback is needed to continue this support group, such as how it could better meet the needs of each woman at CBC. Please see Robin or Tammy with suggestions that would encourage you to participate at least from time to time in these gatherings.
